Donald is a remarkable young man who has been part of the JE Williams Boys & Girls Club family since kindergarten. Over the years, he has continued to impress staff and members with his dedication, natural leadership, and generous heart.
Currently serving as Junior Youth of the Year, Donald has truly earned the title. A consistent A+ student, he exemplifies academic excellence, but what sets him apart even more is his genuine compassion for others. Whether he is helping a friend with homework, supporting a younger member, or encouraging his peers during robotics club, Donald leads with kindness and quiet confidence.
His involvement in robotics has also revealed his sharp mind and creative spirit. Donald approaches each challenge with curiosity and focus, eager to understand how things work and how they can be improved. His enthusiasm has helped encourage a love for STEM among his peers and made him a natural mentor in the program.
In recognition of his achievements, Donald received a $250 award as part of his Junior Youth of the Year honor.
What he chose to do with it says even more about who he is.
Donald donated $100 back to the Club, wanting to give back to the place that has supported him throughout his journey. With the remaining funds, he treated his fellow Club members to a movie outing, creating a special memory for everyone involved.
Donald’s story is one of humility, generosity, and quiet strength. He is a role model to his peers and a reminder of the kind of leaders we hope to nurture, young people who not only excel personally, but help lift others as they grow.
We are incredibly proud to have Donald represent the JE Williams Boys & Girls Club and excited to see where his path leads next. America Needs Club Kids. To support children like Donald, please visit bgcnal.com/donate.
