At just 10 years old, Rose, a student at Cedar Hill Elementary, is already making a big impact at the Ardmore Boys & Girls Club.

From the moment Rose walks through the doors, her curiosity and creativity shine. She has a deep love for STEM and is always asking questions, exploring new ideas, and thinking about how things work. That passion doesn't just stay in her head — she turns it into action.

Rose was instrumental in starting the Club's Pokémon Club, bringing members together around something she loves while creating a space for connection, strategy, and fun.

Recently, Rose's passion and hard work paid off in a big way — earning 1st place in the 5th-grade Invention Convention competition, an accomplishment that reflects both her creativity and her determination to turn ideas into reality.

But what truly sets Rose apart is her heart for the Club itself.

She is constantly thinking of ways to improve the Club. Whether it's sharing new ideas, helping organize supplies, or staying after to assist staff with cleaning and setup, Rose always takes pride in her Club and understands that being part of something means helping to take care of it.

Beyond her love for STEM, Rose is deeply artistic. She has discovered a talent for black-and-white painting and continues to grow her skills through creativity and practice. Her ability to balance both critical thinking and artistic expression is something special. Rose is also a proud member of the Girl Scouts program hosted at the Club, where she continues to build leadership skills, confidence, and a strong sense of community.

When asked about her future, Rose is determined to become a paleontologist. With her curiosity, determination, and imagination, there's no doubt she is on the right path — thanks to her family, her church, and her Club.

Rose represents what the Ardmore Boys & Girls Club is all about: a place where young people are encouraged to explore their passions, grow their confidence, and become leaders in their own way. Every day, she reminds us that even the smallest voices can make a big difference.

And that's exactly why it matters.

The world needs more Rose's — kids who ask why, who build things that help people, who pull others into the room instead of leaving them outside it. The good news is they're already out there, in every community, in every zip code. They just need somewhere to land.

That's what the Boys & Girls Club is. Not just an afterschool program — but the place where a future paleontologist figures out she's a scientist. Where a quiet kid discovers she's a leader. Where the spark that might have gone unnoticed gets seen, named, and encouraged until it becomes something real.

Rose is 10 years old, and she's already changing the culture of her Club, building things that help people, and bringing kids together around shared interests. Imagine what she does with a few more years, a few more mentors, and a community that keeps showing up for her.

The future belongs to kids like Rose. Our job — all of us — is to make sure they have a place to become who they're meant to be. America Needs Club Kids. To support children like Rose, please visit bgcnal.com/donate.
